4386 - German art

Well, the Google bot today is about Staatliches Bauhaus.

"The Staatliches Bauhaus, commonly known as the Bauhaus, was a German art school operational from 1919 to 1933 that combined crafts and the fine arts and was famous for the approach to design that it publicized and taught. The Bauhaus was founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar."

'Staatliches Bauhaus'. Hmmmm, off to Google translate. 'State Bauhaus.' Well, that's half translated. Off to Dictionary.com.

ORIGIN OF BAUHAUS
1920–25; < German, equivalent to Bau- build, building + Haus house

So, State Building House. That's not a very artsy name for a school of arts.

So I looked at some of the art and found that I'd already seen some of it and I'd liked it. It's art that I can do. Like this...

The only problem I would have selling my art like this would be coming up with a line of BS to explain it. My explanation would be, 'I did it, I like it, that's it!'

That 'art' has something lacking. It's boring.

Elvis - Are you sure you're an engineer? This is art with straight lines, squares, and rectangles!

I believe this art has been stolen by The Partridge Family...
