I don't know much about music, but I know this song!
Sam Cooke died when I was about three, but songs from the 1950s and early '60s, an era technically before my time, were still in circulation well into my high school years and into my 20s. In fact, I think that songs pops up in either Animal House or The Big Chill--maybe both.
