This is why I have all that broken stuff that I'm not throwing away down in the basement. One of these days I'm going to get really creative with all of it.

Sometimes stuff just comes in handy!
Now that is a brilliant idea! Love it.
And these days people are too quick to get rid of things. I'll admit there are limits (garbage is garbage) but if you still have storage space, you're doing fine. It's part of our consumer based culture. To make us keep buying new stuff, we're encouraged to get rid of our old stuff.
I hear you loud and clear, and I'm right there with you...one of these days!
