A true story. I didn't count how many AC adapters I have but I know it's a bunch.
I actually have gone to my AC adapter supply and gotten one out and used it. Is it worth keeping all of them 'just in case'? Well, I've got the room to keep them so why not. If I ever move out of my house I'll have to get rid of 90% of my 'stuff'.
When we'd lived here a while the garage was getting a little full. I built a shed. The garage filled up again. I built another shed. The garage is full again.
I tell people I'm never moving. I'm going out of this house feet first!

Snap.
Sadly. Though it is books in my case rather than AC adapters (though there are multitudes of them too).
EC - I think humans are genetically predisposed to collect stuff.
It's not just the adapters. I have a thousand year supply of various kinds, lengths, and end styles of connecting cables. I'll need to rent a truck to take them all to the county electronics recycling plant.
Thankfully we don't have adapters. But we have tools that a hardware store would be jealous of. Can't get a car in our garage but we do have a hardware store.
I have to laugh because I can totally relate. I have so many books, even though I've downsized, Barbie Dolls, Hotwheels and other stuff that I sell. Another great post! Hugs, RO
Having too much space to store crap leads to bad hoarding habits!
B - I'm trying to cull my electronics junk. I've made many trips to our electronics recycling events at city hall over the years.
MPP - You need to replace that patio with a nice big shed.
RO - Yep, AC adapters are the least of my problems.
DSWS - Actually, I need another shed.
I think we all tend to accumulate stuff to fill the available space. You happen to be an advanced case, as most of us don't manufacture more space!
JH - Just think how many sheds you could build on your property!
Ain't this the truth!? I still have every AC adapter I ever replaced, can't bear to get rid of them. AND, let's not talk about me and books. I have tons of them. Great post, I can relate to this, totally!!
DG - Sometimes I wonder how many of my AC adapters have been recalled.
Waht are Air Conditioning adapters?
A - AC adapter - Alternating current adapter. Changes 120 volts AC to DC voltage.
They do accumulate, don't they? Whenever I've gotten rid of one, I always have a twinge of potential regret. It might come in handy someday! I understand that they could have different shapes or innards but why, for the love of God, don't they make the connector universal?! Or at least label what device it is for...
AW - The trifecta is hard to come by. The right DC voltage, the right amperage, and the right connector.
The EU does specify which charging plug/socket a smart phone must have. So there are fewer AC adapter variants needed. Recommended.
Profound comment on our times
C - You didn't say how many you have!
