I voted yesterday. By mail. The mail-in votes come with a tracking tag. I can type in the number on the tag and see where my ballot is. Right before they take it out of the envelope and throw away the ballot.
True story. I was voting on a machine a few years back. They had just replaced the backup tape for the machine. Two people voted before me. I always look at the little window to see the information scroll by. Except there was no information. Just a blank tape went by.
I was like, HEY! The guy came over and I told him no backup info on the tape! He went 'oh, the tape must be in backward'. He took the tape out and flipped it around. All fixed. Yeah, but what about three people's votes that aren't backed up? Oh well, NEXT.
Which made me wonder if it was that easy to mess up, how many times over the years has that happened and no one caught it? Oh well.
We're back to voting with paper ballots now.
So I was looking for a generic sample ballot when I found this.

Mike, if Biden sneaks in on November 3rd do you think theres a possibility that 3 or 4 months later (or perhaps even sooner!) vast numbers of Americans will be saying: "Come back Trump all is forgiven" ! ?.
Coincidentally I voted yesterday too. Our local election is scheduled for the 17th of this month but we are being encouraged to vote early because of Covid 19- by mail OR in person.

EC - I can't remember if your election is as controversial as ours. Even if it was I don't think it could break into the news cycle that's going on here.
Our election is nowhere near as controversial as yours. Still important as they all are.
And our politicians are going out of their way to make early/absentee/mail voting safe and easy.
I hope it is a landslide for Biden so they can't challenge it in court. I don't know if we can handle it.
The watchers are all watching. Do your part and vote everyone!

I voted on Friday with a mail in ballot. My daughter and husband did too. I hope a lot of people get out and vote this year.
