Cornell University engineers have created an artificial material that has three key traits of life — metabolism, self-assembly, and organization. The engineers were able to pull off such a feat by using DNA in order to make machines from biomaterials that would have characteristics of alive things.

Mike, does this bring about the possibility that we`re gradually edging ever closer to being able to clone perfect 17 year-old Pauline Hickey replicas whenever we fancy one ? (which for me of course would be 24 hours-a-day for all eternity ! ! !).
That is possibly one of the most dangerous questions I know. It invites disaster.
