They say...
"The Birds Aren't Real movement exists to spread awareness that the U.S. Government genocided over 12 Billion birds from 1959-2001, and replaced these birds with surveillance drone replicas, which still watch us every day. Once a preventative cause, our initial goal was to stop the forced extinction of real birds. Unfortunately, this was unsuccessful, and the government has since replaced every living bird with robotic replicas. Now our movement's prerogative is to make everyone aware of this fact."
Don't be fooled! It's a government conspiracy! Help me fight this travesty! Send me money!
I need money to fight this ... thing. Whatever it is!

Those drone droppings I find on my car are pretty convincing.
Kirk - If you join they'll stop.
Aaaargh.
And if the Government (any of them) could find way to make money out of killing birds they would be onto it in a heartbeat.
Pffft! I don't believe it. The birds in my yard are real.
Sue - But... They already DID!
River - That's how good the drones are. You think they are REAL!
Don't fall for this scam! If you read the fine print, that $1T donation goes to Der Furor's "Save Me from the Witch Hunt to Punish Me for My Crimes, Which are the Best and Most Appropriate and Perfect Crimes Ever and Which Are Anyway Weisselberg's Fault, Which Is Proved by Hillary's E-Mails That Show Birds Are Really Democrat Drones."
I think they are on to something here. I never saw one partridge in a pear tree this holiday season and I have never seen a baby pigeon. I'll bet that's why the government is putting up so any windmills. That's not clean energy, that's bird killers. They probably found out that radiation leaking from nuclear power plants wasn't killing birds fast enough. Sign me up for $1B(uck).
According to their website, the "government genocided" all the birds in the US, but the site says nothing about Canada's and Mexico's birds -- y'know the ones that are REAL and that cross our borders.
PS. How do you "genocide" members of the avian species? Wouldn't that be "aviancide?"
All of that made my head hurt.
I heard a wonderful interview on NPR with the founder of this movement. For the interview he dropped his persona and actually talked about who he really was. He was basically raised in a crazy fundie family who was always latching onto conspiracies and untruths. This movement is for Gen Z who have grown up in a atmosphere of internet bullshit. It is a parody to show how quickly misinformation can spread. They often show up and commandeer real protests like right to life protests.
Sure, why not? It's no stupider than Q-Anon.
Bill - But if they're Democratic drones we need to send them ALL to Marlago.
Simmons - I know 1B is a lot (uck). But I'll be waiting for your contribution.
Shaw - Aviancide isn't a real word but a lot of people use it. (Google) So there must be a conspiracy against making it a dictionary word.
Lady - He sounds like a real creative guy.
Deb - The birds thank you for supporting their cause.
🐿️🐿️😉
Cloudia - Are you saying chipmunks aren't real either?!
I wonder if that is what's going on with all the dead crows downtown.
Kathy - I just heard about those today.
Reminds me of a friend from the US who wouldn't speak within 10 miles of the border 'cause they have large speakers listening to your every word' - if only he knew it was the 'birds' he should have been worried about! 😂
CC - I think everyone knows someone like that. For me, it's my SiL's brother.
