The 'good old days'....

Sue - Do you need any evil spirits released? I can help.

Wonder which of our ways will look as ridiculous

Cloudia - Or which one of these will make a comeback.

I had a quick look through about half of those, it's amazing how many "cures" featured electricity.

I wonder if trepanning would help a lot of members of Congress and some Supreme Court justices ...

Not real medicine, but some fringe practitioners today merit comparison with any of this.

The article looks fascinating. No time to thoroughly read the it this morning, but bookmarked it so I can come back to it.

You'd need some of the heroin cough syrup before attempting anything in the gentleman's guide to amputation 😁

Tthat graphic with the amputation instructions that ends in "Time for Brandy". Giggling about that one.

a 'gentleman's' guide to amputation. So he's polite while he's sawing your leg? I have a cough right now, I have to go take some heroin.

River - It was probably the latest invention back and people were saying "how else can we use this?"

Bill - I don't think we could drill down deep enough to get all the evil spirits out.

I753 - I had a similar post but can't find it. A guy at a mall was having girls sit on his face and fart. (my search limit time has expired)

Kathy - Some bedtime reading for you.

CC - More than "some"!

Lady - Back in the days of no anesthesia when amputation didn't hurt. Cheers!

Peg - Heroin, the original anesthetic.

"Treating Asthma With Cigarettes" Yeah, that ought to do it! LOL

Some of these are funny...and scary!

Mike said...

Martha - I hope none of them make a comeback.
