Here's a post from Bilbo yesterday about the police's duty to protect and serve. Read the whole thing. It gets better (worse) as it goes along. This post emphasizes his motto. (see below)
About Bilbo...
I'm a 70-year-old father of three and grandfather of six with opinions on nearly everything. I believe in courtesy, common sense, and fair play. I love ballroom dancing, reading, gardening, gourmet cooking, and travel. While I'm opinionated, I'm not close-minded, and I welcome your constructive comments on my blog. My motto: "I have seen the truth, and it makes no sense."
(I'm always appreciative of Bilbo when I can use his posts for myself.)

As I said on Bilbo's post. Aaargh.
Unbelievable ☹️
Sue - 120-decibel ARRGGGH!
CC - It actually is unbelievable. Like something tRUMP would make up.
I wish I could have provided you with something less infuriating to use as a slack-off post.
I don't know if it is odd or not, but this blog and Bilbo's are the only two I read daily. I sure hope you both continue. I think, like everything else, there are good cops and bad cops and nothing will change that. It is this Country"s love of guns that infuriates me and unfortunately, I don't think anything will change that either. School massacres could happen daily and there would be nothing from these gun lovers but thoughts and prayers.
I saw a meme that said if police officers are too scared to face off against a shooter with an automatic weapon, then how can right-wingers expect "armed teachers" to do so?
Bill - Nope, I think we all needed to know this.
Simmons - Suuuure... put the pressure on. Na, actually I've got so much blog material stored I should just put about 20 links out every day for a month. Then say, if something looks interesting to you, click the link.
Deb - I saw that too. I may have saved it but I'm not sure. I checked google images and there are armed teachers memes up the wazoo.
Keep on telling it like it is, Mike. But for you, some of us would have no clue. Wishing you well, my friend. Happy Tuesday night to you.
Fascinating stuff.
DG - Good to see you.
Kathy - And frustrating finding this out.
I've not been a supporter of the defund the police movement, but if they're truly not there to protect us, then, yeah, get rid of 'em.
Kirk - I've always said defund the police was the worst tagline someone ever came up with. Reallocate the police budget should be the tagline to bring in social workers to respond to domestic situations.
This anomaly that Bilbo found is something a little off the wall that needs to be corrected.
Pfft!
CLoudia - Crazy, isn't it?
