5581 - We will rock you!

I like this song, a lot. Queen, We Will Rock You.

So, how do we have more fun with it? How about 90 drummers?

I usually don't like live versions of songs but this is kind of cool.

And then if you have a little more time...

And then I found this...

And if you search "rockin'1000" on Youtube you can keep yourself busy for ... days!

AND THEN!!! If you want to join the band...

I love the song, so I will listen tomorrow. Today I'm running through a bunch of old CDs that I burned off I-tunes years ago.

The drummers looked to be having a heap of fun - which is lovely.

Your best posts seem to come when you're stoned.

I've never heard a version of "We Will Rock You" that I didn't like.

Such a simple drumbeat, yet so iconic! Very cool video -- especially great to see kids participating in the drumming and having a blast!

River - If I send all my vinal to you, will you burn them to CD for me? Huh? Huh?

Sue - It does look like a ton of fun. I had a drum kit once a long time ago. This makes me want to get another one and sign up for the next concert.

Bill - Far out maaaan. This is groovy, riiiight?

Kathy - It's my go-to song when I don't know what I want to listen to.

Deb - Maybe we can all sign up and have a blogger drum section at the next concert.

Love Queen's stuff, and this is such a great way to celebrate their song. I liked seeing the enjoyment all the drummers were getting from taking part.

Whenever I've heard "We Will Rock You" on the radio, it's always immediately followed by "We Are the Champions". So much so that growing up I actually thought it was one long song rather two! So watching these two videos and NOT hearing "We are the Champions" is a way of giving the song its due, that it's more than just a musical prelude, that it can stand on its own.

Jenny - It makes you want to buy some drums, right?

Kirk - I know what you mean. Once I found this by itself on Youtube, that's all I play.

I do love drums and Queen. Thank you SO much!
I can't burn vinyl to CD, I can only burn CDs from my I-tunes on my laptop, but somehow most of the songs I had on there have disappeared into "the cloud" or just disappeared. The only ones left are the ones I actually paid for via the Apple I-tunes Store. So now I use Windows media player which still has everything on it and can probably burn CDs from there if I had any recordable CDs left. They're hard to find these days. There are players available where you can play your vinyls (cassette tapes too) and record them to mp3 player if you want. They're pricey, which is why I don't have one.

I'm not a fan of live music, either, but this really was pretty cool!

Pretty cool - that would be quite the show.

River - Lazy guy here... I bought a turntable with a USB output years ago. It wasn't all that expensive. It's still in the box.

Martha - Let me know when you buy your drum kit. You are going with us, aren't you? 😆

Lady - Quite the show for sure. I'm amazed at how in sync ALL the drummers are.
