I like that Vertical Road. If I was younger I might give that a try. it reminds me a little of the boardwalk here along the coastline and I should get back there one day and take another stroll.
I don't think I could manage any of these - despite the spectacular views.

Sue - I think the second one is a lot safer than it looks. It looks like it would be like climbing to the top of the Washington monument.
I'll wait for the elevator to be installed.
That would be more like a "screaming like a banshee" stroll.
The steepest set of stairs I ever climbed was at Tintagel in Cornwall (13 years ago). I simply wouldn't be able to do it today in my current state of decrepitude.

I'm taking a rest break after looking at all of those stairs.
At Macchu Picchu, there was a tiny house at the top of a long steep path from the city. I regret not going up there, but I had altitude sickness and wasn't in great shape. Still, I wish I would have done it.

Shaw - You got me looking. I thought "Screaming Like a Banshee" would be a good name for a band we could start. So I checked to see if a band was already out there with that name. I couldn't find one. But I did find out that banshees were the good guys for certain Irish families.

Yes, I would think those would be nice quiet strolls, because there would be very few people on them :-)
Kathy - The big problem would be how long it would take the paramedics to get to you.
Wow. I felt like I was falling off some of them. The second looks safe enough but the vertical road is the most inviting.
Allen - And you get a better effect if you blow them up full screen and stick your face up close.
They kinda` remind me of the 1975 Clint Eastwood movie "THE EIGER SANCTION".
LJ - I'm sure I saw the movie but I don't remember it. Even from the picture on google images.
