I found this on a Nextdoor post.
"Would like to share what happened to me yesterday sitting in my car outside JCPenney parking lot by South County Mall. I'm checking my phone. I have an old car and the doors don't lock automatically but I do that first thing when I get in. My big purse is sitting next to me on the passenger seat. Suddenly I hear the passenger door being pulled. It All happened very fast I just caught a glimpse of a guy in a black hoodie and a medical mask on. he immediately ran away. My purse would have been gone in seconds. And was he only after my purse?? Be careful out there people no matter where you are!"
So the crooks are getting even more brazen. It won't be long before they're doing snatch and grabs right in the middle of the malls.
I think we need to empty the jails of those vicious pot smokers to make room for the actual crooks.

Sadly true.
Mind you, some of the vicious pot smokers are also crooks. Pot isn't cheap.
Sue - Recreational pot is now legal in most states in the US. A lot of people convicted of pot offenses are being released. Hopefully, that will cut down on the thefts. Fewer potheads and thieves in jail.
If we jailed all the crooked politicians and violent felons, we'd solve the housing crisis in one fell swoop. Of course, we'd have to build a lot more prisons, but I think Devil's Island is still available.
A sad state of affairs :-(
Did you see the article in the paper today about Kia and Hyundai thefts and insurance policies? Current owners are getting huge price increases, and new owners can't even get a policy.
Bill - We could contract with South American countries for jail space. That might be an incentive to stay out of jail.
Kathy - That was on the news last night. If new owners can't get a policy then they can't get a loan. You would think Kia and Hyundai would do a recall.
Yeah a shame for the Kia owners. Thanks Mike
They're already doing snatch and grabs in the malls! And they take off running not caring who they bowl over on their way.
Sadly people do need to be more Aware of their surroundings since the Criminal Element is a lot more emboldened these days, especially with Thefts. The big thing now is large groups over-running Stores and just walking out with armloads of Merch, nothing happens to most of them, the Police aren't even taking such Crimes seriously anymore so it's spiraled out of control.
Cloudia - There was more on the news tonight about Kia and Hyundai owners. Insurance is boycotting certain models of years 2015 to 2021.
River - It's not as bad as car thefts here... yet.
Dawn - The mob thefts were big around here a few years back but seem to have tapered off.
