5879 - Tree houses

I've seen a few of these before but most are new to me. I'm providing a link as some of the pictures are too big to copy. They are copy protected so I would have to screen shoot all of them and I wouldn't be able to get all of some of the pictures.

I wouldn't mind visiting these but I wouldn't want to live in any of them. I don't see any electric wires going to any of them.

Update 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Link? What link. Did I say link? 🤦‍♂️

I like tree houses that look like they are part of the tree, but as cubby houses, not for living in. Not without elctricity and plumbing at least.

River - Very temporary dwellings.

That one looks like an ordinary house stuck on a tree - and I suspect it misses the best points of normal homes and treehouses.

Sue - No doubt.

A few years ago we stayed with our daughter and her family in a Pennsylvania rental home far out in the woods that had a connected tree house ... actually, a roomy and comfortable platform built around the trunk of a huge tree. It was a wonderful place to enjoy early morning coffee or evening games.

I don't see a link - am I missing something?

One of the things on my bucket list is to stay in a tree house overnight. There are some cool ones on AirBnB.

Yeah, living in tree houses -- nice in theory, probably a pain in the ass in practice.

The big question for me about living in a tree house is "where is the bathroom". Did you ever watch "Tree house Master"? Crazy things.

Bill - A connected tree house would be the way to visit one.

SG - You did miss anything, I did. There is now a link.

Kathy - Some of these may require a bucket for ... you know.

Deb - Literally.

Susan - A bucket?

Just FYI, #2 is near the castle used to film Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies.
Been there, seen them both.

Sorry for the typo, that should read #21 not #2.

21 looks like it's up on stilts because of the nearby river.

If I am going to live in a tree house then it better have all of the comforts of home.

Matt - I guess that's possible but not probable.

Definitely not where I'd live. But I would certainly visit and maybe stay over for a night just for the experience.

Martha - One night max!
