5966 - Predict this, weatherman!

I think this deserves a post of its own. Would you wait around to take this picture?

What an incredible shot. And no, I wouldn't wait around to try and take it.

Sue - The way that cloud is coming back over the top of the frame, she had to be very close to the storm.

If I knew that was going to happen I might hang around as long as I had a quick getaway waiting. But otherwise, no. It's a fabulous picture!

Love the tiny rainbow! You know Mike, I probably would!

River - You better have a fast car for your getaway.

Cloudia - I assume Dianna had an escape plan. Like turn around and run like hell.

I couldn't afford a zoom lens big enough to be far enough away to get that picture.

Thats Darwin, Australia. Malaysia has similar RollClouds , punctual daily at 16.04 when we were there.

It reminds me of the dust storm in the newest Mad Max movie. The rainbow is cool/unusual.

Bill - Maybe rent the Hubble and get a shot from above?

Stu - Sounds like aliens were attacking at a precise time.

Peg - Not even if we bought you an airline ticket?

Deb - OZ+

Mark - Maybe they were filming there!

Wow! I'm not a great photographer, so it wouldn't matter if I was close or not. The picture still would turn out blurry and askew.

Kathy - From running as fast as you could? 😄

Did Robert Oppenheimer take it at Los Alamos?

Mike said...

Kirk - Or they were testing nukes in Australia.
