5980 - Wednesday no themememes

An Australian telephone. I'd never seen one like this before with the crank on the dial.

I don't know why I saved this. It's time to pass it along.

Priorities.

I totally understand.

FACTS

I have never seen a phone like the Australian one either.
Surely emotions help form opinions? In fact I think that emotion is only absent from facts (though facts can trigger emotion).

Sue - You're probably not old enough to have seen that phone in use.

I have never seen one of those crank phones either. I think when you cranked it you were put through to a switchboard operator.
That "American" aisle is probably Walmart.

That phone is obviously used to make crank calls. And River is probably right.

Hahahahaha, the neighbours one and the phone one.

The American grocery store aisle is brilliant - but I would substitute chips or cookies for potatoes.

Never saw a phone like this. Interesting.
Love the last fact vs opinion etc. Good one!

I've seen a good chunk of these on Facebook in the past week. Great minds think alike.

That last one by "The Captain" is great. Stealing!

The phone ... You didn't think to provide operating instructions? Downloadable tech manual perhaps?
I loved all the rest too. The coffin phone one and the neighbors wife. I'll save that one as a good reason to take a sick day!

River - The American version of that phone is a wooden box on the wall with the crank on the side of the box.

Bill - Then we both need one of those phones.

Deb - I'm checking to see if there is a house for sale in that neighborhood.

Lady - Absolutely!

Peg - The facts one could be a t-shirt.

Kathy - We swing in the same circles.

Shaw - Anon will love it, right?

Mark - It's an excellent reason to take a vacation day.

That phone is new to me. I've never even seen it in Keystone Cops comedies.

From Australia: When I started teaching as a very small school Principal this was the school's telephone. We shared the same line with three other families who could hear your conversations. You had to very careful about what you said!!

Kirk - Seems we have a winner with Brett.

Brett - What year(s) was this. I'm a retired phone guy and I'm curious.

Hey, Mike.
'Bout time I visited here.
I was also inspired by the "fact meme" when I wrote this a few weeks ago:

Jenny - I agree!

Dave - I didn't ignore you. I just found you in spam jail.

Jailed without so much as a mugshot.

Did this one come through?

Dave - I've got comment moderation set up on posts older than 3 days to keep spammers from commenting on older posts. So I got the email and had to release this comment. So this worked like it was supposed to.
