Has anybody else run across this picture?
I did find a site with a lot of comments so I went through them hoping someone had checked it out. What I found was people saying this is an AI-generated picture. They say the overall picture is too soft. The color in the jars is too consistent, it looks more like jars of honey. And someone said her hands are an AI giveaway.

Maybe if you contact Snopes they'll start an investigation?
I'd be suspicious of that photo too. Let us know if you ever find out any further info.
I don't see why her hands are the give away, I think it's the story that is fake as well. But what do I know. I'm glad I'm close to dying this AI shit is so wrong.

Everyone - I found a (K)athy Bailey that looks a LOT like this gal. She's an archaeologist. Maybe she really pissed someone off.
I think it would be AI, who would go to all that trouble and what the hell for?
