Short post. Follow up on Wednesday's post...
The hotel said they would pay for the laptop and phone that was stolen but hasn't yet. The guy has been arrested. His girlfriend has offered to pay for the laptop and phone if my daughter's friend drops the charges. Makes me wonder if the girlfriend works for the hotel also.

She better get the money in her hot little hand before dropping any charges.
I'm with Debra ... money first. In fact, I'd be so incensed that I'd take the money and then be a beoch and not drop the charges. This is obviously not the guy's first time doing this, just the first time he's being held accountable.
Not only would I not drop the charges, but after getting reimbursed for the stolen items I would contact the Hilton corporate office.
I bet she does and I wouldn't be dropping any charges either.

What a mess and a moral dilemma. Would it be doing the girlfriend a favor to let the guy off the hook? Or would it be enabling a scumbag She's better off without?
Get the money from the hotel. Tell the girlfriend you got it and tell her to match it and then the charges will be dropped, because. . .
