Thomas Avla that is. I ran across an article in New Scientist that talked about the Edison employment test. It was the forerunner of the SAT, "Edison style". Edison style was to write down a bunch of random stuff that he knew and then see if you knew it. If you didn't know what he knew he wouldn't hire you. This is another one of those lots of reading posts. And you get to take the test. I got a 66% on it. No hiring on with Edison for me. And I not sure I would want to work for him.
Here's the New Scientist article. Most of the time you can't read the whole article unless you're a subscriber so here it is also.
And here is the Edison test on the National Parks service website. And I was dumbfounded that Wikipedia doesn't talk about the test under Edison. I thought Wikipedia knew everything.

Good thing we both got something else to do.
I probably wouldn't get a job with him.
BTW...I'm in none of the photos from the renfest. I couldn't exist in those costumes. too hot!
Well, looks like I wouldn't have gotten the job with him either. That was hard!
I got 83% on the short sampler test. I'll try the full-length version when I have time.
