As I wander through my favorites I'm finding some of the links I had on my 'links' sidebar before the reset google so kindly provided me disguised as an update. Here's one that I haven't mention recently. Free Rice. This is the link where you can donate free rice to starving people while increasing your vocabulary. They have changed it around a little in that you can now select your level. Before it only let you do some test answers and picked a level for you.
So here's the fun part. Pick level one. Then see how fast you can speed through the answers. After a few minutes you can find yourself going nuts because your brain can't keep up with the mouse clicks. (You have to answer the first question for the level selection to come up at the bottom of the pane.)
Or you can pick the top level (60) and sit and say to yourself "what the hell kind of word is that!?"

there is no such thing as free rice. but if doing this can help the needy, i will do it.
I forgot about the Free Rice link too. I used to visit whenever I had the chance.
Oh I'll have to visit free rice.
considering how my retirement savings has done in the past couple of weeks, I could use a bowl of free rice!
I'm all riced out!
My mouse is having a coronary...off to the mouse doctor we go
Mike, free rice? I guess I'll come back and check that out. Sounds fishy!
Have a great day!
Everyone -
I've made it over 2000 grains a couple of times now. One of these days I'll hang in there and see just how far I can go without going nuts. Like some other linguists that I know.
I had to look up how to spell linguist since I am not one. And I found this word that I like better to describe a linguist - polyglot. I think that's got a better ring to it.
Mike - "?"
I don't know either.
