If there was one thing that was in Prague it was people. In this first picture we had walked down a little from our hotel. See the tower. Our hotel was just past that on the right, about a block. I just turned and took a picture.
Then I went down about another block and took another picture. Anytime we would see a group of people like on the left in this picture they were typically a tour group. Usually 25 people plus or minus.
Then we cut over about two blocks to the main square. This is the cutsie clock (it has a name which I can't think of right now) that people and tour groups gather round every hour to see it do it's thing.
This is from the same spot looking left.
This is from the same spot looking right (into the square).
The Old Town area is about 50 times bigger than your local Six Flags. And there are people everywhere. Just when you would find a short street that wasn't crammed with people, several tour groups would come at you from different directions, and cure your feelings of being alone.

WOW! And I thought Indonesia was a crowded place!
Apart from the people, the place looks so much like the pictures in some old fairytale books I have.
I hope I'll be lucky enough to visit that part of the world....I'll just have to remember not to go in end April or early May!
great pics, Mike. looking forward to more.
A - I don't think this changes much for different times of the year. Prague is the EU's number 1 tourist destination.
J - 5 down, 365 to go.
Ah, Prague...quite a happy place! Each of us drank more in a few days there than we ever drink in a couple months' time at home, and neither of us got hung over! You know Mike had a good time because he is voluntarily writing and talking about it, plus he (and I) took so many pictures. We even climbed the winding circular steps to the bell tower of an old church for spectacular photos. But there was at least one photo we missed because the group of people that would have been in it suddenly appeared and shocked the you-know-what out of us because they were a Harley-Davidson gang from Russia, complete with their black leather pants, boots and vests that had patches with the initials CCCP. For me, it was as if I was an Eastern European visiting Vegas for the first time and I ran into a group of flying Elvises.
LOL@Claudia
The photos...I can TASTE it!
