1081 - Rumors

Consider yourself on the cutting edge of this email rumor. Snopes has no comment on it yet.(I sent it to snopes) And google only has 9 hits on - "WHAT DO YOU FEAR MOST?" "country living". They are all blogs probably posting from the email. Conservative blogs. Here's why.

******************

Two magazines, Country Living (95.99% white readership) and Ebony / Jet (99.99% black readership) did surveys on...

"WHAT DO YOU FEAR MOST?"

The results were interesting, to say the least.

Country Living magazine's top five answers were:

1. Nuclear war / terrorist attack in U.S
2. Child/ spouse dying
3. Terminal illness
4. Unemployment
5. Further Economic Downturn

Ebony / Jet magazine's top five answers were:

1. Ghosts
2. Dogs
3. Registered mail
4. Law Enforcement
5. Father's Day

No Kidding…

***********************

And if you want to see some goofy rumors, here's the HOT 25 on snopes.

And my biggest fears? - Useless word verification words. And Ted Drews not opening on time. And mismatched socks.(done that) And giving a guy a wedgy and him smiling about it.(where did that come from?) And having to wake up in the morning. And not waking up in the morning.

When you have wacky color vision, mismatched socks are a badge of honor.

I took this as a joke. That's why snopes is so popular ....people make up stuff as a joke and send it out and then some people take it as truth.........AND, if you send it to 10 people in 5 minutes; you will receive a blessing.

Suddenly I want to sing that Jimmy Buffett song: Vampires, Mummies and the Holy Ghost. These are the things that terrify me the most. No alien, psychopath or Mtv host, scares me like Vampires, Mummies and the Holy Ghost :)

B - Black and navy blue look too much alike.

B - I already heard back from snopes. They have it already. I must not have used the right search words. That scares me.

M - At least the things your scared of are scary.

These days, my biggest fear is let-down in public...without the baby nearby.
