I just love the 0 and 1 stuff!!!!
Anyway. I checked google and only got about 2000 hits on this joke so there's an outside chance you may not have heard it. That's assuming it's not an old recycled joke from 50 years ago in which case you may have it on a piece of paper in your joke file. Well, some of you may have it.
*******************
A DEA officer stops at a ranch in Montana, and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, 'I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs.' The old rancher says, 'Okay, but do not go in that field over there' as he points out the location. The DEA officer verbally explodes saying, 'Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me.' Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removes his
badge and proudly displays it to the farmer. 'See this badge? This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish....on any land. No questions asked or answers given. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand?'
The old rancher nods politely, apologizes, and goes about his chores. A short time later, the old rancher hears loud screams and sees the DEA officer running for his life chased close behind by the rancher's mean ass bull. With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer, and it seems likely that he'll get gored before he reaches safety. The officer is terrified. The old rancher throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells at the top of his lungs, 'Your badge! Your badge!
Show him your badge!'

L - I think Bilbo has this joke written on parchment.
C - Yes dear.
"I think Bilbo has this joke written on parchment." Is that another slam at my age? I'll have you know that I have that joke written in cuneiform on clay tablets!
vw - platint: the little known color "pla."
Love it!
B - I hate it when I have to look up words. Thank God Wikipedia knows all - cuneiform - earliest known writing system in the world.
C - You're probably young enough not to have heard this before. I'm old enough to have forgotten it.
