I got some email trivia that just didn't seem right.
INTERESTING FACT ABOUT AUGUST 2010.
This August begins on Sunday, the first day of the month and has -
5 Sundays,
5 Mondays,
5 Tuesdays,
all in one month.
It happens once in 823 years.
So I'm thinking. Somebody started a BS rumor and now it's spreading without anyone checking it out. Somebody's got to do it. So off I go. How hard could it be?
I googled the last line of the rumor. The first thing I find is someone predicting the crash of the stock market because of this rare event. So now I'm even more suspicious. I go to Wikipedia and check out the Gregorian calendar. A quick scan tells me they're not going to talk about this bit of trivia. And I thought Wikipedia knew everything.
I used to have a 200 year calendar on a small wallet card. There are basically 14 varieties of years. Those starting on Sunday through Saturday 'without' Feb 29th (7), and those that HAVE Feb 29th (7 more).
Where could I find ....!!!!!!!CRAP!!!!!! Go look at the damn 'date and time properties' on THIS DAMN COMPUTER!!!!!!!
So I click on the afore mentioned in front of my face information. There's August 2010. Click click click forward on the year ..... 2021 ... REPEAT! Every 823 years my ass. I guess the stock market is safe .... until 2021.
And Wikipedia does have a perpetual calendar entry although it's not as simple as my little card was. Wikipedia also has a Dooms Day Calculator. There are many dooms days every year and you're missing out if you don't know when they are. If you figure out this last one let me know what the hell they're talking about.

While it won't be a Sunday, I'm pretty sure that September will also begin on the first day of the month.
You could've just snoped 823 years. You would have found this:

Yeah and on August 10 people were doing the whole Hey look it's 06:07 on 08/09/10. And then saying things like "This won't happen again until 3010!!!"
Uh yeah. Expect that it MIGHT happen at 6:07 on August 9th of 2110, ya know. Dumbasses.

I double checked your work 'cause you might just be trying to start a rumor that the rumor wasn't true!
