1558 - Isaac

Jay had this on his Tumblr site.

"Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’"
— Isaac Asimov

That means it came from who the heck knows where. Anyway I looked at this and thought if I were to put this on a tshirt I think it would say...

"Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘your ignorance is just as good as my knowledge.’"

You know what I mean?

More quotes from Isaac.

I want to see the cocked heads as they read your T-shirt. Looking like the RCA dog. Oops, I may have dated myself there.

M - I think it would take to ling for most people to read. Especially the target audience.

J - Anti-intellectuals are ignorant. Intellectuals have knowledge. .... I think.

Well, I had this detailed comment that, lucky you, I managed to kill when I went to post it. So, to condense my lengthy missive, and in light of YOUR comment, I agree: anti-intellectuals are ignorant and intellectuals are knowledgeable and Asimov's implication is that the ignorant foster this belief that THAT is what democracy is all about...

DR - I understand now. ..... I think. Am I becoming intellectual? God I hope not.
