1598 - Genetics

I found a site, probably for the umteenth time, that has lots of interesting info about genetic defects. What they are and where they are in your genome. I put the link on my sidebar for quick reference. You know, for when you want quick genetic information as fast as you can get it. Just remember 1 - genetic defects 2 - Mike's blog 3 - link.

Here's the link. http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/

And the second source of genetic information.... actually the modern source of ALL information, Wikipedia, has some interesting stuff I found while surfing.

Look at your hand. See those two lines running across your palm? You do have two of them don't you? Those are your palmar creases. If you have just one it could be the sign of a hidden genetic defect..... or not.

Single transverse palmar crease (The picture is a "normal" hand.)

There are more pictures on the wiki link. Just so you can put your mind at ease.... or not.

And if you REALLY want to get into hand analysis...
The Palmar Creases (Part One)

The Palmar Creases (Part Two)

The Palmar Creases (Part Three)

That single transverse palmar crease has me a little worried. My brother has it and he has AS, and Adrian has it too.

On a lighter note, the Chinese believe that if you have a single line, your slaps have an extra sting to it.

If you have three such creases, it is an indicator that you are genetically predisposed to play golf. They are referred to as the Arnold Palmar Creases.

A - In one of the articles I remember reading where people of Asian decent were more likely to have this crease with no associated problems.

B - Those creases then made to his clothing line on his pleated pants.

Is this where you put on your turban and tell me I'm going to give all my money to a blogger?

LET - No worry. If I put on a turban, my head would sweat so much I'd be dead from dehydration in about 15 minutes.

Hmmmm, Dr. Mike. Do I get to charge the fake rate? Or do I have to charge the negotiated rate?
