1735 - 10 Signs Death Is Near

Well I'm at a loss for something to post about today so I'll dig into the reserve file and try and cheer everyone up. Or not.

This is from a hospice website. Here's the LINK to the article with an explanation for each category.

1. Loss of appetite
2. Excessive fatigue and sleep
3. Increased physical weakness
4. Mental confusion or disorientation
5. Labored breathing
6. Social withdrawal
7. Changes in urination
8. Swelling in the feet and ankles
9. Coolness in the tips of the fingers and toes
10. Mottled veins

For myself, I'm well on the way with 2, 3, 4 and 6. But I'm compensating by avoiding 1.

As I sit here at 4am with insomnia,I realize I have all the same ones as you plus cold fingers.....could be because the house is cold... could be I'm dying.
this didn't cheer me up. I would like #1. I never get what I want.

There is a Chinese one that isn't on your list. Supposedly, a person will start acting in a way that is out of character, like becoming kinder or more cynical depending on how they are normally. Maybe that falls under number 4.

According to that I should have been dead about 10 years ago. That and my neighbor's dog follows me around and lays down next to me every time I'm over. I should probably get a full body scan or something......

M - #1 would be nice. But not having it does counterbalance all the rest.

A - I think that would fit #4 nicely.

L - I can see the headline now... "Dog predicts womans death."

It seems like they are talking about really, really old people. Like social withdrawal would be not showing up for shuffleboard anymore.

E - Hey there dude. Thanks for commenting.
I think with congress acting like they are these days social withdrawal is just the first step to societal withdrawal. I'll come out of my cave when everything is back to normal. Whatever normal is.

This is the ghost of Andrea typing this, as by most of that list..except of course, loss of appetite...I should be dead...

MD - Fighting #1 is the great equalizer. It can hold the other 9 at bay.
