1821 - Genes

This is one of those things that when I run across it I think, "Have I seen this before?" But the more I looked at it the more it seemed I hadn't seen it.

It's a genetics project supported by National Geographics that follows humans out of Africa and around the world. And! You get to participate if you want to. All for only $99.95. Hey, it's a deal.

But if you just want to look at all the info on the site it will keep you busy for awhile. Below is a screen shot of one of the pages. Try and find it.
Click it to big it.

Update - I added this to my sidebar 'other interesting sites'.

I know all about my genes - 38x30, stone-washed denim. So what?

Genetics is fascinating, as is those geneaology studies. I remember a lot of people in the New Orleans Public Library looking for ancestors.

No, seriously, this is something for those with extra $.

Thanks for sharing that amazing site. It'll be good for me to go through with Aaron.

I just did a post about doing new things. And then I came here and I realized that your blog always leads me to new, and interesting, places on the internet. Thanks.

B - Yeah but who's that denims' mother? And was she stoned too? Speaking of stoned....

EPT - I think $99.95 would be my limit.

L - And now you sneak in as I'm typing another response. Eveyone is on the same schedule this morning or evening as the case may be.

I'm afraid of what I would find.

BKE - I'm sure the neanderthals died out long before your lineage developed.... maybe.

Recent evidence suggests that early homo sapiens mingled, shall we say, with cute neanderthasl chicks.

D - Yes there still is a little neanderthal DNA floating around. Maybe that explains Rush Lamebrain.
