Continuing on the theme of useless inventions, here's Purdue University with a new record for a Rube Goldberg machine. What does it do? It blows up a ballon and then pops it. In 300 steps. This is my kind of stuff. It's sort of like the government except this actually does something.

I've been wondering when someone would finally make blowing up a balloon complicated. It's way too freaking easy.

the government comment was the best
I loved that finger that popped the balloon in the end. Actually, the whole thing would have been so much fun to setup.
