Well it was a quiet weekend internet wise. I get most of.... scratch that.. all of my bills, except one, in through the mail. The USA mail. Been there forever mail. The one I don't get is my internet bill. The phone company sends it over, you guessed it, the internet. And we all know how much attention we pay to email crap.
Well guess what happened at 5PM on Friday.
The worst part is I had paid it already. Late but paid. But the billing department and the 'cut them off' department must not talk to each other very much.
So it was a quiet weekend. Guess what. I found out I can do just fine without the internet. Of course I knew it was coming back. And actually the billing computer and disconnect computer must have talked over the weekend sometime because I checked Sunday late and the internet was back.
Maybe I could just use the computers at the library. Hmmmmmm. Sure would save a few bucks.
But then I would miss out on pictures like this when searching for 'disconnect' on the internet. Sometimes disconnect is good.

We haven't experienced a complete cut off of the internet but very often, I exceed the download quota and we end up with dial up speed. I sometimes think that its worst that having no internet at all because its there to tempt you but then it just crawls along....
Amanda - Dial up internet would drive me freakin' crazy. I mean crazier.
I go into a semiwithdrawal without the internet.
Guess who else has been without internet this weekend? Yep! Sure, I have one of those newfangled smart phones that can access the internet, but I'd rather stick a spoon in my eye than limit my view of the internet to a 2" x 3" screen. UGH!
I love the Sex and the City photo, so random and delightful, something Jay would post just for the hell of it
I'm always 1 step away from something being cut off
Being without internet for a couple of days does give one time to catch up on other stuff in life. But, it's usually stuff I didn't want to catch up on in the first place.
Jay
Angel - I did too but got over it very quickly.
Dana - The 2x3 screen stuff is crazy.
Dianne - There were a lot more strange photos in the disconnected search.
Jay - A least it makes you think about that stuff. Even if you aren't going to do it.
I MUST have my internet.
Kathy - If I were in ND (pop 672k) I would need the internet too. (OK your area has 200k all by itself. But don't get to far from home.)
