2156 - Sledding down Art Hill

St. Louis' taste of winter so far. We haven't had much snow at all. So when it did snow a few days ago people headed to Art Hill in Forest Park. It's across from the St. Louis Art Museum. It's the St. Louis 'place to go' for sledding.

Here's a look from the top of the hill.

Power assisted sledding.

A look from the other side of the Grand Basin. And yes I have seen people go over the edge. But that was when it was colder and the lake was frozen. And the water's only about 3 feet deep off the edge anyway.

How long has this been going on? Since right after the 1904 Worlds Fair closed.

************

So this guy was going to go skydiving for the first time. He jumped out of the plane and headed toward the ground. He pulled the rip cord and nothing happened. He's falling fast toward the ground trying to think of something to fix the problem.

Just then some guy comes shooting up from the ground. The skydiver hollers at him. 'HEY DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PARACHUTES?' The guy answers back. ' NO, SURE DON'T. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GAS STOVES?'

Angel - I heard it at lunch yesterday after I told the penguin joke.

Peg - Now all I have to do is find a paying gig.
