3162 - Rain

Well it's raining like crazy here in St. Louis. But the best is yet to come. Here is the rainfall totals so far from this storm.

St. Louis shows an inch total so far but it's supposed to rain from now (around 7:30pm TUesday) until 5 in the morning. You can see Central Missouri already has had 4 inches of rain and is going to get more. They are tell us to expect 4 - 6 inches total. And we know the weather people are never wrong. But it is raining. They did get that right.

So what's ahead through January? (You can blow this up.)

Rain and snow for the coasts and the central US. Maybe I better buy that snow blower.

Here's a DailyKOS article that talks about El Nino.

We have had the record rainfall in Texas, and more to come next weekend. On the west side of I35, we haven't had as much as on the east side, thank heaven!

I hear you.
I look at my new snowblower in the garage and think it now won't snow.
It's red, shiny and actually a pretty machine. So it won't snow I just know it. But it was $100 off. :-) Hubby says it is a good one, Troy Bilt, whatever. I don't know anything about them.
But hey Mike - Wanna borrow it? It won't snow then.
Then we'll get snow. See?...that's how it works.

These maps are great! I find weather very interesting. We've a long way to go, but I'm amazed at how improved weather forecasting is compared to when I was young. The types, amount and quality of the data is impressive.
