3187 - Decisions

My daughter requested a certain book for Christmas from the St. Louis Art Museum. So I decided to try and order the book online. The book is $35 and 8 1/2 x 11 in size. Maybe about a half an inch thick.

I go through their site logging in, signing up, filling out one form then another. I get to the check out and the shipping charge pops up. $17.50. WHAT?!

The Art Museum is about a twenty minute drive from my house. So do I drive over there and buy it in person, or spend $17.50 for shipping. Hmmmm, I don't know. This is a tough one. Decisions decisions decisions.......

Oh look, there's the cancel order button ...... BAM!

That's a lot to pay for delivery, strange.

Shipping and handling is one of the great scams of our time.

That's an outrageous shipping cost!

I agree with Bilbo. TV ads often give you an extra product, you just pay S&H. That seems to be often more than the item cost to produce.
