3498 - Friends remembering

I saw a report on TV that people these days don't have as good a memory as people did years ago. It seems that looking things up on the internet is bad for your memory.

I have a theory. In the old days when you had to research something, instead of letting google do the searching, you searched and you learned other things along the way.

Now google is asking you, 'Is this what you were looking for?', before you are even done typing. Yes, yes that is what I was looking for google.

Googling makes it less likely that you will discover something new and interesting along the way.

Googling has become a lazy habit for me.

Ah, back to my ole days of my Brittanica's and that is exactly what would happen. You'd be looking something else up and then I'd get lost about reading something else that began with that letter that I found interesting. Aah, the good old days when Knowledge was cool and something else...my memory is shot.
