Accidental shooting in Sunset Hills Home Depot restroom sends employee to hospital
SUNSET HILLS • A gun went off accidentally at the Home Depot store here Sunday, injuring a store employee, police said.Sunset Hills police were dispatched to the store, at 10890 Sunset Hills Plaza, at about 11:50 a.m. for a report of a shooting in the store's restroom, police said.
Police said that the owner of the gun is unknown, but the investigation is ongoing. The employee was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.
Hagen said the employee was treated at a hospital for a non-life-threatening injury and released.
Home Depot allows the open carry of firearms in accordance with local laws, Holmes said. Employees are not allowed to carry firearms, he said.
