Are you moving to St. Louis soon? I've found a house for you.
Here's the article that goes with the picture...
In the market for a 30,000-square-foot mansion equipped with sixteen fireplaces, fourteen bathrooms, a bowling alley and a movie theater? You're in luck!
For a scant $10,750,000 asking price, the castle at 1700 South Warson Road in Ladue can be yours. Built in 1999 for pharmaceutical magnate Dennis M. Jones and his wife Judy, the sprawling estate was purchased just one year before Jones sold his company, Jones Pharma, for $3.4 billion dollars. At the time of its construction it was the largest house in the entire St. Louis area. Jones, who passed away in September at 78 years old, was a frequent donor to the Republican party -- in keeping, both presidents Bush have stayed at this home.
Suitable for two presidents, fit for a king and equipped with an elevator, hot tub, sauna, tennis court and indoor pool, this charming house would be a perfect starter home for you and your family. Buy now before someone else snatches it up!
Well they have hyped it up a little. I checked the County records. It's only 20,000 square feet. (It does have a full basement which means 10,000 more sq ft) 32 total rooms, 15 baths, and 9 bedrooms. It sits on a 4 acre lot. And it's only appraised at 8.5 million. What would this house cost on one of the coasts?
Still, 20,000 sq ft gives you a little roaming room. And I'm sure you could talk them down to the appraised value. And I could move in with you and probably never see you.

I'm sure I could be very comfortable in the guest house. We can meet by the pool.
I'll look into it Mike
This looks like a nice vacation home.
Looks like a nice spread.
I heard about a huge mansion around here where just a husband and wife lived. They needed an intercom system to find each other. They apparently had all that space just to have big parties for executives from major corporations. Perhaps they wrote the price off as a business expense.
It must be a real job to have it cleaned!
