3799 - Live to 100... or not

Here's a TED talk on how to live to 100. For those that don't want to watch the 16 minute video, here's the cheat sheet.

General contact with other people is the top indicator. What I really found interesting is that a flu vaccine is more important than exercise.

So here's the video. Be warned it's not an exciting video as she is reading from notes to do the presentation.

Interesting. I get a flu shot every year, along with the pneumonia vaccine, don't smoke, don't drink very much, try to walk a few miles per day, and stay connected to friends. I don't know if I'd want to live to 100, though, unless it was to see my armies of great-grandchildren.

We're touching the right bases, but living long should include living well.

I'm like Bilbo, not too excited to living to 100 when I see what struggles plague many in their 90s. But very interesting Mike. Some are rated much higher than I expected.
