3811 - Not worth the money?
I saw an article in the newspaper about '10 things that are not worth the money'. As with any list like this, the whole list is a personal opinion. Let's see how many I agree with on the list.
Purebred dogs - Agree; Purebred dogs cost too much plus mutts seem to be healthier and live longer.
Cable - Agree; I've never had cable. The whole idea of cable was you pay for the cable and get shows without advertising. Never happened.
ATM fees - Agree; I never saw the advantage of an ATM. Plus ATM's put people out of work. Just get enough cash during the week.
Lottery tickets - Disagree; I never have high hopes of winning the lottery. But when it gets up in the hundreds of millions, it's fun to buy a ticket and harass your friends about never seeing them again after you win.
Designer handbags - Agree; Designer anything. There are too many knocks offs out there for one tenth the price.
Going out to lunch - Disagree; You've got to be kidding.
Bottled water - Agree to a point; I don't buy bottled water to keep around the house but it's handy for the right occasion.
Luxury cars - Agree; I don't have stupid money to waste on these.
Pricey hotel rooms - Agree; See above.
Hardcover books - Disagree; Depends on the book. Some books are just better in hardcover.

I disagree on ATMs, which are very valuable when you travel and can't get access to the money in your hometown bank. What kills me are the sky-high ATM fees ... I've seen them as high as $6.00 per transaction, which is unconscionable. As for hardcover books, almost any book - hardcover or paperback - is worth the money, unless it's written by Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, or Bill O'Reilly.

Oh I like a good hotel room - no motel 6 for me.Nice sheets, big down comforter. No,I prefer a nice hotel.
I HATE ATM fees and don't use one much because I have a debit card but I see how they can be useful.
I love my purebred but I love rescues too.
I have satellite but would not do without it. so I guess the same as cable.
Everything else I agree with you. So we can have lunch and I will bring my knock off hand bag so that I can pay for lunch.
