How old are you? Do you remember sitting in one of these? I do. Back in the good ol' days when the dentist said, "Kids don't need novocaine. Their nerves aren't developed enough yet."

Dear lord, there was a time that they said this?
Apparently, I am not as old as I thought!
I went to a pediatric dentist, everything was strawberry and novocaine. Whew, thank God!

I always hated needles and the thought of a needle to my gums ... no way.
I had several cavities filled without novocaine as a teen -- my choice. I've gotten over that as an adult.
