4354 - One of my old jobs

Well, I found a trip back in telephone time for myself. This is a video of how the old Step by Step systems used to work. When I started at the phone company in 1967 they were starting to phase out these older systems. They had been the workhorse of the system for many years.

Although this equipment was being taken out of the Central Offices in the late 60's, business PBX systems still had this equipment for another 15 years. I worked on a lot of these when I was a PBX repairman.
