Help make this the last Labor Day. Know someone that's thinking about joining a union? Turn them in and get $10,000. No limit! Paid for by taxing the perp.

There are billions of people and a version of normal to go along with each one of them. No two versions are exactly the same. There will be hundreds of thousands of little things that make up your version of normal. With any luck you can find people that have close to the same idea of what normal is that you do. These are your friends. Anyone else you try to tolerate as best you can. .... The exact definition of normal depends on who's running the asylum.

Sigh.
You don't get me I'm part of the Union
Our 1st child was was born on Labor Day 50+ years ago. He still has an uncanny sense of humor.
Wait 'til you see my historical summary on FB tomorrow ...
Elepant's Child, Love the video, stealing for my own blog.
Thanks.
Sadly, unions are so much less powerful than they were back in the day.
Are you confusing one type of labor with another?
Sue - I'm stretching my memory here. 73 could have been the year when I was in the telephone employees union, and was the only time I was on strike (for a week) on the union side. One other time a strike was avoided at the stroke of midnight.
Then later in my career, I was in management and there was a strike. This time I was working. If I ran across strikers I would always say, "Hey, I'm on your side. My pay depends on what you get paid".
Goe - He sounds like a smart guy.
Bill - This sounds like a huge project you've undertaken.
John - It was an 'in your face' union song!
Kathy - Exactly right. I'm sure Bezos has anti-union spies all over his warehouses.
Deb - I'm using that labor to warn the other labor about what could happen.
Both death-Santis, and texabbot are underwater popularity wise. I think appealing to extreme GOP primary voters has hit a wall. I'm hopeful Democrats will stop being hapless very soon and do what we elected them to do: save our democracy.
Cloudia - I hope the wall falls on them.
How far we've strayed from the holiday's roots in the Progressive Movement of the late 19th and early 20th century.
I remember a couple of years ago some right-wing congressman proposed changing the name of the holiday to Wealth Creation Day. Sigh.
Kirk - Wealth Creation Day sounds familiar but I couldn't find anything on it. Capitalism Day would be a better BS name.
