Well, I almost forgot about posting. Did I post something or not. I'd better check. Nope.
So here's a short but interesting post for windows 10 people. That might not be anyone else but here goes.
I noticed some people commenting and putting some emojis after the comments. How are they doing that? Off to the Google I go. π It's easy here because there's an emoji button. But not on comments. How are they doing that?
Well, Win key plus .(period) brings up the emoji choices. Everybody knew that except me, right? And I can't get a copy of the screen. Control C doesn't work for some reason.
Anyway, Win. brings up the emoji screen.

There you go. I had assumed that people were putting comments in by using their phones.π
Sue - It takes years to figure out which buttons to push, then they change everything. π€ͺ
πππ¦ππΆππ₯΄π½π§♂️π¦π§¬π️♂️ππππ I feel empowered. After the first emoji I decided to write a song, "He's Got Barney Google Eyes", sung to the tune of "She's Got Bette Davis Eyes." Hmmmm, think I'll just get ready to play golf instead. Cheers.
I'm still trying to figure out how to do it with my Mac. Everything else is relatively simple and intuitive ... why not emojis?
I didn't know that, and now I'm trying to figure out where the so-called Win key is.
π
search key+shift+space on Chromebook for Chromebook users.
I never would have checked if you hadn't posted this.
What will I do with this newly found info?
I'll probably never use it and forget it.

ππ adding them from my Gboard keyboard on my phone
Simmons - Go crazy Simmons, go crazy! (That's a St. Louis Cardinals saying.)
Bill - As soon as you find it, they'll update and change it.
Shirley - On a regular keyboard it's on the bottom row. Left side is Control, Win, Alt.
John - You're now a Chromebook guru for finding that.
Shaw - Well said!
Cloudia - I still need lots of training on my phone. I hardly use it for anything. But sites are wanting to send me texts for secure logins. It's a pain when I'm down and the phone is up.
Google told me that for a mac the sequence is Control+Command+Space. I will never remember that, though.
Kathy - Thanks. I'll send an email to Bill.
Win what? I can't find a "win" on my keyboard. Now I'm even more frustrated. Thanks a lot, Mike. Haha. J/K. I'll figure it out after I find some sort of youtube tutorial. Gimme a few . . . weeks.
Cheers! =) <-that's as good as it gets here.
Wait, is it this Windows key? ππ Thank you, Mike. It's a windows icon my keyboard. Hip hip hooray! ππ
I was so happy to learn this until I tried it and it didn't work ... then I realized I'm still using Windows 7. lol
But if I ever upgrade to W10 I'll remember your tip!
Robyn - We are now in the emoji comment club together.
Jenny - No more windows 10 though. Windows 11 is all you can get officially although I'm sure there are some in stock Windows 10 PCs still out there.
AND Windows 7 is no longer supported. You haven't been getting security updates for two years. AND Windows 10 support will end on October 14th, 2025. It will mark just over 10 years since the operating system was first introduced.
You should still upgrade to Windows 10(free). Look at this...
https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and-software/windows-7-to-10-upgrade-seriously-heres-why-you-need-to-update/
But before you do a 10 upgrade you should get ccleaner.com(free) and let it clean all the junk off your computer.
Thanks for the link, Mike. I've checked it out and while I don't need or want the new features provided by an upgrade, and I do use a third-party security provider, I'll still run it by my computer guru next time he visits. (that would be my son)
Jenny - I'm surprised your son hasn't bugged you about upgrading just for the security side of things.
