Have you seen this interactive puzzle Entanglement yet? It's kind of fun and a nice break from wordle. Here's what a finished puzzle looks like...
So here's where you start. You pick a path to a new cell by clicking on the highlighted cell. You spin the highlighted cell to pick the direction you want to go. The goal is more points. You can see above I finished with 121 points. My high score so far is 198. The more cells you go through at once, the more points. Below is how you start.
Notice in the lower left-hand corner that there is a swap cell when you don't have any good moves with the highlighted cell.
Have fun. I've got another one for tomorrow.
What about the 14 dead kids? When I was doing this post I forgot all about them. What does that say about how common mass murders have become in the US?
19 comments:
Not tempted by that one - and despair at the mass shootings so common in your country.
The gunman also killed his grandmother.
Sue - Despair for sure.
Kirk - It looks like the death count has gone up to 21.
Mass murders in the USA? 212 so far THIS year and the fifth month isn't over yet!!
How many more between now and December 31st??
WHY???
I saw one politician shouting "this only happens in THIS country! Nowhere else!" He looked as outraged as I felt.
I won't try the puzzle, it looks a bit complicated.
If the NRA was made to stand trial for all (ALL) the senseless deaths maybe something would change. Maybe. WTF is an 18 year old doing with TWO assault rifles?
River - Exactly!
Nothing will ever change because there's too much money and political power wrapped up in gun policy. Too many Americans believe that the cold-blooded massacre of children is an acceptable price to pay for the freedom to sling an AR-15 with a fashionable, high-capacity magazine across your back to protect yourself at the local Starbucks.
I will think about tackling the puzzle the next time I have nothing to do. That moment is slated for sometime six months from now.
That's a neat puzzle and very different from the usual fare. Having tried it a few times, I'm impressed with your high score of 198! It is a bit hard on the eyes, though - maybe that's just my eyes. Or maybe that's part of the challenge.
P. S. And yes, I wonder what it will take to shift the balance of power in the U.S. from "my rights" to "saving innocent lives" ...
Bill - Sad but true.
Kathy - Save the URL!
Jenny - This puzzle has a catch to it like Candy Crush. If you want bigger and better puzzles you can join and pay.
America is numb to this. A couple years ago my neighbor was going to host a foreign exchange student then we had a school shooting for the 400th time and his parents said it was too dangerous to go to America. Hm....
Thanks Mike
Peg - Welcome to America... GET DOWN GET DOWN!
Cloudia - Two puzzles today. A fun one and a sad one.
Wow that was tough. Kudos on those high scores.
Lady - I got a 208 last night. I may retire from "Entanglement".
I'm going to have to try this puzzle! Sounds interesting. As for the latest tragedy, I cannot begin to imagine the grief the families are facing. How terrifying that your kids aren't safe in school.
Guns are for killing that's their use- the idiots that think more not less guns is the answer shock me to the core. I just can't comprehend their way of thinking. And no one outside the military should own an assault rifle ☹️
Martha - Have a nice distraction with the puzzle. And you're right, it is terrifying.
CC - When is Biden going to bring back the assault rifle ban, that's the question.
