We were talking about geeks, nerds, and dorks the other day. Well here are some graphs and charts that explain everything.

There are billions of people and a version of normal to go along with each one of them. No two versions are exactly the same. There will be hundreds of thousands of little things that make up your version of normal. With any luck you can find people that have close to the same idea of what normal is that you do. These are your friends. Anyone else you try to tolerate as best you can. .... The exact definition of normal depends on who's running the asylum.

These charts seem to be focused on the male of the species. but even so, I appear to be mostly dork, with a little nerd and a smidge of geek (the jeans and t-shirt), but without the "smart" part.
I have elements of them all.
River - Jeans and t-shirt are mostly normal for me. In the summer I upgrade to cargo shorts.
Sue - You lucky duck!
I always thought of myself as a nerd (as did pretty much everyone else at my high school), but it seems that Dweeb may have been more appropriate. Now I have an identity crisis. Thanks for nothing, Mike.
Purty pitchers.
Mike, i was just trying to work out where i`d be in this great list of 'geek-dom/dweeb-dom/nerd-dom/dork-dom' variations ?, always keeping in mind of course my totally all-encompassing, all-consuming, all-engulfing fixation and obsession with the truly incredible 17 year-old Pauline Hickey from 1985 ! ! !, whats your opinion Mike ?.
Brilliant.
I reject all labels. Everyone can call me sir
There's something very meta about all this information on people who are interested in minutiae :-)
Good grief, there are a lot of charts on this! And they don't all agree, either. lol
Bill - What do you mean?! You've got a label. Time for a tattoo!
Deb - They are aren't they? Especially number 6. The colors caught my attention first on that one.
LJ - Obsession is an understatement. Mania might be a better description.
Stu - Me or the charts and graphs?
Adam - Hmmmm, wouldn't sir be a label?
Kathy - I had to look up the definition of meta. People are starting to use it sort of like organic. They confuse me.
Jenny - You get to pick what you want your label to be.
Mike, i`d have to spell those two words "UNDERSTATE-GIRL-T" and "GIRL-IA" ! ! !.
Too much data to sort through this early in the morning! YIKES!
Martha - But there may be a test soon. You need to be ready.
