5726 - Long joke Sunday

With all the new technology regarding fertility recently,
a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth.

When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.

'May I see the new baby?' I asked.

'Not yet,' she said.

'I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first.'

Thirty minutes had passed, and I asked,

'May I see the new baby now?'

'No, not yet,' she said.

After another few minutes had elapsed, I asked again,

'May I see the baby now?'

'No, not yet,' replied my friend.

Growing very impatient, I asked,

'Well, when can I see the baby?'

'WHEN HE CRIES!' she told me.

'WHEN HE CRIES?!' I demanded.

'Why do I have to wait until he CRIES?'

'BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM!'

I also didn't see that one coming. And shudder at the thought of having a baby at 65. Or even if it comes to that considerably younger than that.

That's a joke that gets less funny as I get more ... uh ... what was I talking about, again ...?

Oh my, didn't see that coming. Giving birth at that age makes me groan for lots of reason. Spotted you on a mutual blog friends blog and thought I'd pop in for a visit. It's always fun to meet new bloggers.

Sandy - I checked and we are cross-contaminated in 4 spots. 😁

Even at 65 I don't think I'd forget where I put the baby. Of course by age 65 I had four grandchildren all old enough to not need hourly care, so it was okay to not know exactly where they were every minute.

River - At 76, I've only got one granddaughter. And she is only 8yo. Luckily she's only 10 minutes away and I do spur of the minute sitting quite often.
