121 - Kidnapper Mike Devlin 2

Dear city people, please read. It was recently disclosed that a loner city person (guy) that had country property had kidnapped 2 country children and brought them back to the city. So all loner city people guys that have country property, you will probably be profiled by the locals as being a potential kidnapper. Make country freinds. Lots of them. Let them know who you are. Invite them in, over, around and more.

120 - Kidnapper Mike Devlin

The newspaper today says that Mike Devlin was a quiet loner. When he was a high schooler he was over weight and picked on. Now 15 to 20 years later he kidnaps two kids.

What I can't understand is why he didn't go to our public health care system to get help. OH WAIT!!!! We don't HAVE a public health care system. Well why didn't he buy his own health insurance? I mean when your making $21,000 a year you would think spending half of it on health care wouldn't be a problem.

Oh well, let's just fix him the good ol' conservative thinking way. Let's just kill him and move on to the next problem. But before we kill him we'll tell him we're sorry we have to do this but he gave us no choice.

119 - Can't we all just be friends?

So Bush says he wants the Democratic controlled congress to avoid "a reflexive partisan response". Hey Georgey, you mean like what's been going on for the last 6 years? It's pay back time W. Or should I say in a more polite way, it's time to fix things that got broke in the last 6 years.

118 - Liberal or conservative?

Here's an article that has a good description of the difference between liberals and conservatives.

From the article -
"People gravitate toward conservatism because it's more certain about the answers it provides—right vs. wrong, good vs. evil, us vs. them."

116 - New car old car

Here's a question for you. You have a brand new car and a 7 year old car. The 7 year old car runs just fine and meets all the needs of a second car for your family. So much so that you just put new tires on it and spent $300 on engine work.

A big storm is coming. You have a one car garage. Which car do you put in the garage?

The answer most people would say is the new car. But the real answer is the old one. Why? Because if the storm destroys the new car the insurance company will fix it.

If the storm destroys the old one the insurance company will do the following. Tell you that the old car is worth 2/3's of it's actual value. Tell you that the tires aren't new any more and prorate their cost and tell you that the cost is already in their estimate. Tell you the engine work is routine maintinance and is not covered. And by the way we're totaling your car so if you want any money at all take our deal or to bad for you.

So put the old car in the garage and save your investment in it.

115 - Half empty or half full?

Is the glass half empty or half full. Well it's neither. The glass is completely full. Half water and half air.

I just have to repeat this every once in a while. It's like one of those "do you still beat your wife" questions.

112 - It takes all kinds

"Tara Chauffe has some competition on her wedding day. She's getting married in New Orleans Saturday evening, the same time the Saints will be playing the Philadelphia Eagles in the Superdome. She says she already had a dozen guests who've canceled because of the playoff game. She knows they have tickets and she's trying to be sympathetic. Two bridesmaids and a groomsman who have seats for the game are giving them up to attend the wedding."

A dozen people have cancelled? What a bunch of scumballs. A freaking playoff game! Not the super bowl. A PLAYOFF game! Not that the super bowl would be any better of an excuse but a playoff game sinks these people to an even lower standard of decency than one can imagine.

And if you think about it even more - "IT'S THE SAINTS!" "AND THEIR PLAYING PHILIDEPHIA!!!!!!" They're giving up a wedding for THAT?!

109 - Not much happening

Well it's Tuesday and there's still not much to talk about. Not Saddam dying. Not Ford dying. Both were expected and both are just another tick of the clock. Life goes on.

But come to think of it, all the right wingers are having a party about Saddam dying. They're so happy you would think that Jesus had come back. I guess with the political situation like it is they're looking for anything to be happy about. And people dying seems to cheer them up.
