As to yesterdays post, I forgot I had the Site Meter going on my site also. I looked at it for the first time in awhile and it doesn't match google stats at all. It shows a lot more hits. It does count the times I log onto the site also but even so there are more hits on Site Meter. .................. WTF!!!!!!!!!
And then I found this article about dying websites. Looks who's on the list.
8 Formerly Popular Sites That Are Dead or Dying
1. Gawker.com
2. Chatroulette.com
3. Digg.com
4. MySpace.com
5. Bebo.com
6. Salon.com
7. Blogger/Typepad
8. Slashdot.org
That's right. Blogger is on this list! ..... WTF!!!!! Who's saying this? Well the article is on Fox News...... WAIT!!! Maybe this isn't all that reliable.

So are you looking into Wordpress?
Hmmm...Sucks. I have noticed a lot of people that I started following on blogger have given up there blog here to go elsewhere?
Where is everyone going?
And more importantly why haven't I been invited?
I can no longer read the word press folks. First of all not in a reader. No alerts...I'm slow I like the alerts and google reader. I also have been told that wordpress is a royal pain and most moved back to blogger. So where are they going? As Roc said, "why wasn't I invited?"
My sitemeter is also way down. And the words that people use to find me is wild to say the least. While I fight with blogger all the time I don't think it's going anywhere. I think this means that blogging has gone out of fashion. Hence the site is dying. Like when facebook killed my space. Not that it's going away. I saw a news show saying that blogging was so passe.
Yet a blogger just got her own show on the food network who I used to read until she got so full of herself. But good for her! millions for a blogger gal.
I have thought of going full website so I had more control.
And while on this topic do ya'll have a ton of readers from Google on your site meter daily? I get a ton from mountain view CA which is google hdqtrs. curious.
A - Nope. I'll quit before I change.
RW - I think most are going to wordpress but I wouldn't swear to that.
M - I think any system is easy once you get used to it and it's quirks.
I'd have to pay more attention to sitemeter.
Of course Fox News would put Gawker at the top of that list. Gawker posts all kinds of gossipy stories about Fox all the time. Which is why I love Gawker.
Blogging is dead. It's too much effort for most people now.
- Jay
J - Not if you do short blogs and steal stuff from other people!!
Blogging isn't dead, at least at my place. I don't pay too much attention to individual post stats, although I have found that one or two older ones seem to attract a lot of attention. And who listens to Faux News, anyhow?
B - Faux News, the Elvira of news organizations.
