3673 - 13 Reasons Why

Have you seen the news stories on the Netflix show called '13 Reasons Why'? It's a 13 episode series that chronicles the life of a high school girl leading up to her suicide. With all the publicity about it Claudia and I had to watch it to see what all the fuss was about.

And watch it we did. Binge watch that is. 3 episodes on Thursday. 4 on Friday. And the last 6 on Saturday. It's written and acted very well. Some of the episodes flew by. The only thing that I generally don't like in a show is flashbacks. This is 50% flashbacks. Sometimes it was hard to figure if you were in the past or present.

One spoiler I'll tell you so you don't have to figure it out is the main character, Clay, has a bike accident in the beginning. I think they did this to help you figure out the flashback scenes. The present time is after the bike accident so Clay has a bandage on his forehead. In the flashback scenes, no bandage. This works well except for the dream sequence scenes.

So is this worth watching? I say yes. It does get graphic at times. But most of the time it's like a detective show as you are trying to figure who's doing what to who.
